The Chicago League of Lady Arm Wrestlers is going strong and ready to present our 13th match on Saturday, April 21st @ 10PM at O'Malley's (formally Club 162) in the heart of Wrigleyville! See a new generation of lady arm wrestlers flex their biceps and brace their forearms to compete for the coveted CLLAW sash and crown. For only $25, enjoy a three hour open bar package for online pre-sale to claim your spot at what Penthouse Magazine calls “one hell of a show!” Tickets will also be available at the door for $10 if you prefer a cash bar. Be sure to bring money for CLLAWBUX, the official currency to bet on your favorite wrestler, win prizes, or bribe a ref, all for charity!
As always, all proceeds from the madness of CLLAW benefit Sideshow Theatre Company and local partner charity, Erasing the Distance!
Erasing the Distance is a local non-profit arts organization that uses the power of performance to diarm stigma, spark dialogue, educate, and promote healing surrounding issues of mental health. The artists gather, transcribe and sculpt true stories from people impacted by mental health issues into theatrical pieces for the stage, and perform not only for the public, but at meetings, conferences, events, and partner organizations and schools around the country. Their outreach programs to area schools provide a safe place for students to explore their own mental health stories through creative activities designed to stimulate storytelling and team building.
