Gina is a dramaturg, educator, and theatre historian. She first became interested in the process of theatre in high school as a member of the Young Playwrights' Roundtable at the Coterie Theatre in Kansas City. There, she realized that she had a knack for research, revision, and playful workshopping. Her dramaturgy credits include The Ugly One and Theories of the Sun (Sideshow), Dangerous Beauty (American Musical Theatre Project/Northwestern), and Mary Stuart (Ohio State). Gina also lends her talents to the CLLAW committee. She holds a BA in English from the Catholic University of America, an MA in Theatre Studies from Ohio State, and is currently a doctoral candidate in the Interdisciplinary PhD in Theatre & Drama program at Northwestern University, where she also teaches. Despite her dramaturgical experience with new works, her academic research focuses on intersections of theatre, politics, and religion in medieval and early modern England. She wears a lot of scarves because theatres and libraries are frequently cold.
