Lisi Stoessel is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia's MFA program in Scene Design. She recently completed work for Geoff Sobelle and Charlotte Ford's Flesh and Blood and Fish and Fowl and Sideshow's Dante Dies!! (and then things get weird) in the summer of 2008. In her hometown of Charlottesville she has designed Macbeth (Live Arts), Mud, Scapin, Iphigenia and Other Daughters, Hair, Hedda Gabler, and The Voysey Inheritance (UVA Drama). In 2007 she won a competitive fellowship for thesis research and did set/makeup design for Pig Iron Theatre Company's Isabella at the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival. She was recently privileged to participate in the Young Designer’s Forum at USITT. Lisi lives with her husband in Philadelphia, and sees beautiful scenery and much collaboration with Sideshow on the horizon.
